How long have you been a photographer?
I started for fun when I was 13, and professionally for 3 years now. I'm 24!
How many images do you include with delivery?
I overshoot just about every session and wedding I have the privilege of documenting. With that being said, I don't like to provide a specific number of photos to you because I believe this limits what I could potentially give. I usually always deliver more than enough to remember your special day by.
How many weddings do you take per year?
I take roughly around 25-30. I do this so I can give my couples the best experience without me feeling burnt out from over working myself. I like to be completely present with my clients. Quality over quantity, and less is more are two big ones I stand by.
What is your turnaround time?
Engagement Sessions: 1 week
Weddings: 4-6 weeks
Do you provide RAW unedited images?
I do not. I've had clients in the past take the unedited photos and edit them to their liking and I truly believe this takes away the authenticity of my work and why you hire me. Especially for people that see a photo I've taken, with an edit on it that isn't mine, defeats the purpose of all the hard work I put into editing.
Do you use payment plans?
I do! I require a 40% reservation fee to secure your desired date to my calendar, and the remaining 60% is due 1 month in advance for weddings, and 2 weeks in advance for shoots. Or if you would like to break it up in 3 segments, I would be more than happy to negotiate a plan that works best for you!
Can you photoshop us?
I believe in body positivity and self love, so I do not use photoshop unless you would like for me to remove a scar or skin blemish/acne that you would not like in the photos. If you are self-conscious about how you're posed in a specific angle, please let me know so I can pose you to your liking!
What if we have bad weather for our shoot?
I come prepared for embracing whatever weather comes our way. If it gets to the point where you two feel uncomfortable or my gear could get ruined, we will reschedule for another day.
What happens if you can't make it to our wedding?
God forbids this happens, for it would be out of my control. Death, illness, etc- I will do my absolute best to find a replacement photographer to take my place that I can trust with a similar style. If I can't make it to your wedding, your money will be refunded.
Do you offer discounts?
What if we need to cancel / reschedule our shoot or wedding?
All deposits are legally non-refundable, and a new deposit will have to be made in order to hold your new date.
What do we wear for our session?
I've got a 'What to Wear Guide' that I'll send over! I gotchu.
How do you cover travel expenses?
I just have you pay for me getting there (flights, transportation, and stay) and I take care of the rest. I'm also super easy, and open to staying with you, your family, camping or sharing an airbnb with you guys to help you save $$$! And if it works for both of us, I don't mind getting picked up and dropped off at the airport. I would be more than happy to do this if you didn't want to rent a car!
Do you help with the planning process?
Of course! Let me know what you need help with and I would gladly assist. My goal is to make all my clients happy and stress-free. Anything I can do to help, let me know!
Do you share galleries of weddings you've previously shot?
Yes! Of course. I understand before booking your wedding photographer, you want to see how they would capture a wedding day.
How do you backup the photos?
The second I walk through my door after getting home from a wedding, I immediately backup every photo on 3 different external hard drives. I also keep the photos on my SD cards until AFTER I deliver the full gallery.
Do you have an assistant you usually work with?
As much as I would love to hire someone to work full-time under me, I work independently. Although, I do hire local photographers I've enjoyed working with that are also available on your wedding day!
Where do you find your inspiration?
I find my inspiration through watching little glimpses of life happen. People. Nature. Raw emotion that surfaces on strangers, where I have no idea what's going on in their life, but understanding the fact we're only human. I find it in the essence of time and connection in which we live on a day-to-day basis.
